The Bihar Edition of the ICC Start Up Pad 2016” was held on 26th October 2016 at Hotel Maurya, Patna. More than 80 aspiring START UP Entrepreneurs from various local management & technical institutes and also few successful entrepreneurs attended the program.


The aim of the program was to motivate prospective or new entrepreneurs, with the intention of providing a platform for them to interact, learn and network with some of the successful players of the eastern region who would guide them about various aspects of entrepreneurship and setting up of new ventures. This launch program will be repeated at Guwahati in Assam, Bhubaneswar in Odisha and Ranchi in Jharkhand. The Grand finale would be held at Kolkata on 15th December, where the best 15 ideas would be allowed to pitch before Investors who might be interested in funding these projects.

The Conclave was inaugurated by Mr. Ravindra Prasad, Director (Technical Development), Industry Department, Government of Bihar. In his address, he briefed the START UP Policy of Bihar Government and requested the aspiring youth to dare to start their own business and use the ICC platform to convert their ideas into business ventures.


Mr. Arijit Bhattacharyya, Founder & CEO, Virtual Infocom made a power point presentation covering all the areas of the START UP. He suggested the participants to take calculated risk and focus on the backup plan as per your risk calculation. Mr. Prabhat Sinha, Director, Astric Solutions and Mr. Sanjay Goenka, Managing Director, M/s Hebe Ispat were among the panelists who briefed the delegates about changing atmosphere about entrepreneurship and also about the various supporting factors like incubation centres, policies etc. In the welcome note, Dr. Uttam Kumar Singh, Member ICC & Director General, Dr. Zakir Husain Institute & IIBM Group of Institutions gave the details of the “ICC Start Up Pad 2016”. Mr. Balkrishna Singh, Regional Director, ICC proposed a ‘Vote of Thanks’.
